Hey, I'm Saurya
Designing complex systems,
from first principles
Computer Engineering student focused on backend systems, distributed architectures, and AI infrastructure.
Exploring how intelligent systems reason, scale, and fail.

Real-time trading simulation
A market simulation platform built around a 15-second tick engine. The interesting problem was getting 300+ concurrent users to see consistent state over persistent WebSocket connections without sacrificing consistency guarantees under burst load.

A multimodal AI pipeline built around one question: how do you make a vision model verify its own outputs? Used EXIF-aware reasoning and Chain-of-Verification to surface inconsistencies before they become hallucinations. Built in 22 hours.

I build systems, then I try to understand how they fail.
Currently thinking about
- Retrieval failure modes in sparse-dense hybrid search
- Evaluation design for multi-agent systems, what does "correct" mean when agents compose?
- Inference optimization tradeoffs: latency vs. throughput vs. cost at the serving layer
- How LLMs represent uncertainty, and whether that representation is faithful
